The digital manipulation and illustration of art has been the predominant passion of my adult life. Design is the reason that I entered the photographic world. I'm always in search of other creative minds, with whom to collaborate. Polygonal/Geometrical Mosaic Design, was a term I learned from my older brother, Professor of Graphic Design at George Fox University. I showed him a photo of a cat that I had stumbled across, while scrolling on instagram, and he was able to identify the stylistic label for my find...after the entirety of two complete seconds.

My fondness of this new medium, Geometrical Design or Polygonal Mosaic, fueled me to explore this fascination further, hoping to learn more about the execution of the style.


Round two is a completely separate story. Being the second, in a four-set design challenge, that was 100% dreamed up by me and completely self-initiated, I was motivated to start the process over again, and look upon what I could improve. 

Having a plentiful bounty of high-resolution stock images from various photo shoots I’ve done with my brother (Daniel) over the past few months, I selected one with a clearly simple ‘focus/subject’ and one that took up a small percentage of the overall image (i.e. a rose on a rainy day). Thus, making a polygonal mosaic of JUST the key subject of the photo (nothing more). The background would stay the same, the flower alone going geometric
